Shakespeare on the lawn

I’m sitting in my office watching the rain come over in sheets across the valley. Good day for staying inside and working! I’ve just sent off book 2 in the Million Dollar Mates series to my publishers. It’s called Paparazzi Princess. And so I’ll clear my desk, do email, admin ready to make a start on book three which will be called Catwalk Queen.

Had a great weekend, out at Rudloe on Friday night for the music festival at T farm. Just the right size I reckon as only 500 people are admitted. The sun was shining and  there was a great atmosphere there plus our lovely friends, Paul and Jenny live at the top of the valley so we could stay with them. My camping nights are over, in fact, I never did like camping. Give me a nice hotel, clean sheets and hot water any day. On Saturday, it was back to Bath then out to the Royal Crescent where we watched a performance of Much Ado About Nothing on the lawn in front. I found watching the audience as entertaining as the actors. I do like to people watch. Later it was a disco tent for the guests but we went back to our friends, Annie and Martin, who live up that side of Bath (see photo of Annie, Miranda and I with our new boyfriend. Curiously, he didn’t have much to say but looked happy enough.)

Apart from that, I’ve been getting ready to travel again. Next week, I’m in Birmingham visiting the King Edward V1 school for girls. At the beginning of July, it’s the book launch for Million Dollar Mates which is to be published on July 8th then on the road for a week visiting schools. So… better get my train tickets booked and off I go again.

Bye for now,
