September and it’s back to work for me and back to school for you. Where did the summer go eh? I’m just finishing up working on some new proposals for books then tomorrow I head up to London to visit schools on Wednesday to promote my latest book Love At Second Sight. I go to Cheam High School on Wednesday morning and Lady Eleanor Holles School in the afternoon. Back to Bath in the evening then off to Bristol the next day to Henbury School followed by an event at Waterstones in Bath at 5pm. All go.
At the weekend, I go up to Manchester for a friend’s big birthday where it will be a chance to catch up with lots of faces from the past. Sounds like a good beginning to a book that doesn’t it. What if someone turned up and there was some secret from the past? Hey! That gives me an idea…
That’s the challenge of writing. What if’s… Having new ideas. Not just writing books but consistently coming up with ideas that publishers will like that are commercially viable as well as different to what anyone else is doing.
I’ll know in a few weeks time if my publishers like any of my new proposals and then it will be head down for the autumn and back into writing.
In the meantime, I’ll be out on the road so I’d better go and look at the weather forecast and decide what to take.
Bye for now
